SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

  • Regularly update artist(s) and record label social media calendars (Insta, FB, Twitter, etc) with content via Hootsuite.
  • Reach out and respond to fans and industry contacts through social media platforms
  • Work with photographer and graphic designer to create unique and consistent content
  • Track engagement insights to further develop relevant content

SYNC LICENSING INTERN

  • Contact music supervisors of:
    • TV Shows
    • TV Commercials
    • Film
    • Video Games
  • Create and maintain a Google Sheets database of contacts
  • Actively engage agencies administering music libraries.
  • Tools and training for research will be provided.
DIRT HILL RECORDS - RADIO

RADIO PROMO INTERN

  • Outreach to radio stations (satellite and terrestrial) around the world, promoting latest releases
  • Work with Booking Agent(s) and PR team to coordinate radio tour/appearances/interviews
  • Create and keep updated a Google Sheets database of radio contacts
DIRT HILL RECORDS - BOOKING

BOOKING INTERN

  • Outreach to clubs, colleges, grade schools (for daytime programs), theaters, house-show opportunities, fairs/festivals
  • Tour routing and travel logistics
  • Collaborate with PR and Radio Promo team to arrange speaking engagements/appearances/interviews/live radio performances
  • Outreach to other bands/managers for shared show opps
  • Research and contact venues at which similar artists to ours play
  • Create and maintain a Google Sheets database of booking contacts

PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN

  • Headshots & Music Videos (At least one, likely two, per month)
  • Lifestyle footage for social media and behind-the-scenes content

Intern to have their own equipment including but not limited to:

  • Pro level camera capable of capturing 4K footage
  • Editing software, such as Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro

PLAYLIST PROMO INTERN

  • Research music and keywords similar to our artist(s)
  • GOAL 1: Discover playlists that fit our artist(s) music
  • Intern will be trained to use the following tools:
    • Chartmetric.io
    • http://playlistminer.playlistmachinery.com
    • SubmitHub.com
  • Research and reach out to playlist curators
  • GOAL 2: Build/maintain relationships with key curators
  • Create and keep updated a Google Sheets database of Playlist contacts

WEB DESIGN INTERN

  • Design and update website
  • Properly connect to and showcase all other social media pages
  • Work with Photography & Social Media teams to create content
  • Make press materials and biography readily available
  • Design and maintain lead magnets to build email list
  • Logo design
  • SEO development
    • Link building to and from other appropriate sites
    • Site/Page meta-data enhancement
    • Keyword research and integration

PR & PUBLICITY INTERN

  • Research and reach out to contributors and producers of:

    • Magazines | Blogs | Vlogs | Newspapers | Podcasts | TV News / Talk Shows | Radio | Webinars | Influencers’ email blasts

  • Set up artist inclusion/participation in the following:

    • Interviews | Articles | Appearances

  • Create and maintain Google Sheets database of PR contacts

  2. Clinical training will be provided during one-on-one meetings, to be followed by hands-on training to add practical experience.
  3. Students applying to this internship are required to submit transcripts to ensure their coursework and/or area of study is in line with the expectations and education provided during the internship.
  4. The time-frame and hours of this internship are set to best accommodate the intern’s academic commitments by following a typical academic calendar. If academic commitments of the chosen intern do not directly line up with the timing of this internship, reasonable adjustments may be made.
  5. The duration of this internship is set to allow enough time for the student to fully learn all they reasonably can about the position, while also having a chance to apply that knowledge with an invaluable hands-on experience.
  6. Interns will be working directly with General Manager, receiving a significant educational benefit from training and attention above and beyond the expectations of a typical employee, while only learning and experiencing, hands-on, tasks specific to the job itself (i.e. not making coffee, running errands, or holding a mop.)
